Bring leftover candy to local dentist, get money in return

Just because Halloween has ended doesn’t mean the candy is gone. In fact, most people purchase more candy than needed for trick-or-treaters who don’t show. So why not take the leftovers and get something back for it — for a good cause? Athens Family Dental Center is offering just that, a candy buyback. The Halloween Candy Buyback program is a win-win. “It promotes taking care of children’s teeth by combating tooth decay and allowing them to bring in their leftover candy … and it gives back to our troops,” said Brenda Zareie with Athens Family Dental.
